Target Beneficiaries – 78,205 women in Mullaitivu and Killinochchi districts.

Partner agencies – Women Action Network and Transform Kilinochchi (WANT) and Community Development Organization Mullaitivu.
Contract Period – February 2016- January 2018.
Location – Killinochchi and Mullaitivu Districts, Northern Province, Sri Lanka
- Supported skills development for women leaders through training.
- Coached and mentored leaders to understand their potential and personal challenges/fears.
- Cross and exposure visits were organized to engage with women groups and Women’s Caucuses.
- Mapped key Women’s Networks that can influence change.
- Facilitated linkages between women leaders and civil society networks in the North and elsewhere.
- Facilitated process of engaging men to obtain their full participation in ending SGBV.
- Built alliances and strategic partnerships at regional and national level for joint advocacy.
- Generated evidence to aid advocacy to influence implementation and policy change.
- Increased leadership capacities of 420 women to be effective political representatives on issues related to SGBV.
- Women’s networks and alliances strengthened to address SGBV in the Northern Province.
- Influenced and advocated for the implementation of relevant SGBV policies and laws.
